VM3501 Series Touch-Screen Dry Block Temperature Calibrators

The VM3501 series are portable touch-screen dry block temperature calibrators built for calibrating RTDs, thermocouples and temperature transmitters where the work is — onboard vessels, in workshops and in calibration laboratories. Four models cover -30°C to 1200°C; the 5.7-inch colour touch screen and 0.01°C resolution keep onboard checks fast, and interchangeable inserts fit the sensor sizes found in engine rooms.

Applications

Marine. Onboard calibration of engine-room temperature sensors, transmitters and switches during routine maintenance and dry docking — a portable touch-screen unit the crew and riding service teams can operate without a laboratory bench.

Calibration laboratories. Everyday bench calibration of RTDs, thermocouples and temperature transmitters with fast heat-up and stable setpoints.

Industrial. Power, petrochemical, metallurgy, food and machinery plants calibrating their own temperature instrumentation on site.

Options

USB interface and data recording are available as options: the recording function stores up to 60 sensors and 600 records and exports the verification data over USB. Insert holes can be customized to your sensor sizes — please specify when ordering.

Frequently asked questions

Can the VM3501 be used onboard a ship?

Yes. The VM3501 is portable with simple touch-screen operation, and 110 VAC supply is available as an option — it is built for calibrating engine-room temperature sensors, transmitters and switches during routine maintenance and dry docking.

Which model should I choose for engine-room sensors up to 600°C?

The VM3501-650 (35 to 650°C). It heats to 650°C in about 25 minutes and holds ±0.05°C stability, covering the great majority of onboard temperature points.

Can the insert holes be customized?

Yes. The inserts are interchangeable and come in different hole sizes and quantities; special hole sizes can be customized — please specify when ordering.

Does the VM3501 record calibration data?

Data recording is an optional function: it records up to 60 sensors and 600 records, and the data can be exported over USB.

What is the difference between the VM3501-150A and VM3501-150B?

The 150A covers -20 to 150°C with a Ø36 mm block; the 150B reaches lower, -30 to 150°C, with a Ø32 mm block. Both hold ±0.1°C accuracy and ±0.02°C stability.
